Disc-type magnetic couplings typically consist of two magnets, positioned opposite each other. These magnets are often arranged in a multiple-magnet configuration and separated by an air gap. As one magnet rotates, the other follows suit. Importantly, there is no physical contact between the magnets, and their magnetic fields can even operate through a solid wall.
While magnetic couplings have existed for some time, their industrial adoption has only recently gained significant traction. Prior to this, most developers and installers in transportation and production lines were not even considering magnetic couplings. It is only now that they are realizing the vast potential of this technology. Advances in magnet grades and mounting methods have enabled us to meet increasingly demanding requirements, expanding the range of applications.
Whether you’re dealing with permanent magnets, hard ferrite magnets, neodymium magnets, samarium cobalt magnets, we guarantee that no defective magnet will be delivered to our customers. At CCMagnetics, the highest quality is always our top priority.
