Advantages of Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires:
Neodymium magnets can experience magnetic attenuation or even demagnetization at high temperatures of 80°C (depending on their grade and composition). Therefore, wrapping magnetic wheels with hot-rubber can have a negative effect: hot rubber may weaken the magnetism or cause the magnetic wheel to demagnetize.
CCmagnetics’ Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires eliminate the process of encapsulating magnetic wheels with rubber in high-temperature environments. As a result, CCmagnetics’ magnetic wheels can maximize magnetic strength without any reduction.
Installation and Usage of Magnetic Wheels:
Magnetic Transmission
Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires are custom-designed for CCmagnetics’ WM series magnetic wheels, ensuring a perfect seamless fit between the tire and the wheel. To use, simply slide the Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires onto the WM series magnetic wheels. Note: The tires have approximately 3-8mm of rubber wrapping on both sides, which ensures the edges of the magnetic wheels do not scratch metal surfaces.
Typically, the elasticity of Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires allows them to tightly wrap around the WM series magnetic wheels. However, in some cases, customers may need to secure the tires to the wheels to prevent slipping. We provide specialized adhesive for this purpose. When it’s time to replace the tires, the adhesive residue can be easily removed.
Types of Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires:
Robot Magnetic Wheel Tires come in two types: anti-slip patterned rubber tires and smooth tires. The surface of the smooth tires is similar to that of Formula racing tires, featuring a matte texture. The difference is that anti-slip patterned rubber tires offer better water resistance, but they cause more magnetic attenuation due to their minimum thickness of 2mm.
Smooth tires, on the other hand, are more suitable for dry, mud-free environments. With a thickness of up to 1mm, smooth tires are ideal for smaller outer diameter magnetic wheels. We recommend customers choosing smooth tires to opt for WM65 or smaller wheels.
Any form of tire will increase the gap between the magnetic wheel and the metal surface, and a larger gap means weaker magnetic force.
Therefore, we strongly recommend using the WM series magnetic wheels, as we have designed the threshold for the impact of magnetic attenuation on functionality into the relationship between the magnetic wheels and the rubber tires.
